Saint Petersburg, FL - By Night Studios, LLC, has announced an upcoming Kickstarter campaign to publish Mind’s Eye Theatre: War of Ages. This new book is the next evolution of live-action Vampire: The Masquerade live-action roleplaying (LARP), and features the writing of Finnish novelist and game designer Juhana Pettersson of the award-nominated Vampire: The Masquerade Nordic-style LARP “End of the Line,” as well as the Vampire: The Masquerade, 5th Edition Anarch book.

Having had a very successful Kickstarter campaign in 2013 with Mind’s Eye Theatre - Vampire: The Masquerade, By Night Studios returns home to crowdfund its new book and to grow the live-action roleplaying hobby.

Book Overview: Highlighting the artwork of Kamila “Louve” Maślak, Natalie “Kera Now” Balle, and Krzysztof Bieniawski, War of Ages will provide inspiration, guidance, and tools for developing a V5 LARP with a focus on setting and fiction. The book is written using various in-game voices and supplemented by “designer voice” sections that concretely lay out how to utilize the information and ideas presented.

The War of Ages will include practical sections that highlight the “Nordic” styles of gaming and that delve into how to bring the LARP experience to one’s game through both in person and online play, and will include suggestions and guidelines for Storytellers and players alike. Finally, War of Ages will provide a window into the mysterious Ashirra, a manual for using the Sabbat as antagonists in LARP, a deep dive into the authority given by holding Sect Positions such as Prince or Baron, and more! This book is a valuable asset to anyone interested in elevating their roleplaying experience within the modern World of Darkness™.

In addition, throughout the book By Night Studios presents the stories of the two most important point-of-view characters for a V5 LARP: newly created vampires of both the Camarilla and the Anarch sects. While other characters will be depicted throughout, the focus will remain on the simple core experience of newly created vampires as they dabble in the ideologies of vampiric society, learn to play politics, and ultimately become significant influencers within their respective Sects.
